My Topic Website
The scope of this project was to pick a topic that appealed to us and create a from scratch website off of that topic. It was a chance for us to be creative with our own topics and ideas. My website was about Koalas and it had five different pages.
Before I even got on the computer, I brainstormed topics and finally came up with Koalas! It was a tough decision between that and orange chicken. Then I started on the computer and found a bunch of information on the internet about koalas. Then I created a basic layout and code. Then I went to photoshop and illustrator to create all my edits on my pages. I made the banner and the graphic on the Evan's Involvement page. I learned more about code, and a lot about sidebars and menus. I learned that asking for help and being stuck is promoted. If I could do anything different I would definitely try to use a horizontal menu, instead of a sidebar. I would keep the color scheme and the banner, along with the placement of most of the website, because the color scheme really coordinates with the topic, and the placement is very well spaced out. What I've learned from this project is how to create a proper site with widths and spacing. I will definitely transfer all that I have learned over to my next project.
